Ninetags is directed at users of social networks, blogs and people who are trying to do something for themselves who don't have huge amounts of cash to pay for advertising.

Ninetags.com is a website that allows users to create small contextual ads with thumbnails and audio attachments.

These ads are given a maximum of nine tags (keywords) which are associated with the subject being advertised.

These ads are displayed in a flash based ad displayer which would be embeded on a web page, blog or user's profile.

This ad displayer will also have a maximum of ninetags which will be customized to display ads with matching tags.

This ad displayer has an ad sensitivty setting that allows the user to specify a minimum number of tags to match in order for an ad to be displayed.

Users can customize their ad displayer to display only the ads they are interested in by defining these tags. Text colours can also be customized to suit the page they will be displayed on.


The good thing about ninetags is that users can get their friends to use ninetags also and then link ads together.

for example, joe links mary's ad to his. everytime joe's ad is displayed, mary's ad is displayed immediately after it. mary can then link another friend's ad to hers. Then that friend links another friend's ad. This will create a chain of ads linked together.
